Traveled to Tanzania and Kenya, East Africa and was a participant in McCormick Theological Society East African Seminar, while a student at McCormick Theological Seminary in Chicago.
 
Traveled extensively in Europe to study and industrialized housing systems as National Housing Director for SCLC.
 
Selected by ecumenical clergy to visit the Holy Land of Northeast Africa.
 
Selected by the AME & CME Bishops to travel to South Africa on a fact finding mission.
 
Member of the SCLC delegation under Dr. Joseph Lowery to visit the country of Lebanon, Northeast Africa.
 
Selected by Rev. Ben Chavis when he was Executive Director for Commission on Racial Equality, United Church of Christ, with other religious leaders to go to Angola and Namibia, Southwest Africa. Accompanied by Black lawyers of the NCBL and Howard University's film crew.
 
Fernwood United Methodist Church held the first Black Church Celebration for Nelson Mandela, and Augustine Neto, Marcus Garvey as our African Disciples of Liberation in Chicago.
 
Held the first Zana-Zapo conference at Fernwood United Methodist Church, when these African liberationalists were fighting against Rhodesia under the regime of Ian Smith. This country is now called Zimbabwe.
 
Selected by Dr. Leon Sullivan with other leaders to attend the first African American Summit conference in Abidjan Ivory Coast.
